ஸ்பெக்ட்ரம் என்றால் என்ன?

ஸ்பெக்ட்ரம் என்பது அடிப்படையில் மனிதர்கள் உருவாக்குவது அல்ல. அது தண்ணீர், பால், மணல், மலைகளைப்போல் ஒரு இயற்கைச் செல்வம். அதாவது கம்பி வழியாக மின்சாரம் பாய்வதைப்போல வளிமண்டலத்தின் வழியாக (காற்றணுக்கள்) மின்காந்த அலைகள் பரவுகின்றன. இந்த மின்காந்த அலைகள் மூலமாகத்தான் நாம் அன்றாடம் பயன்படுத்துகின்ற வானொலி, தொலைக்காட்சி, செல்லிடைப்பேசி முதலானவை இயங்குகின்றன.

மேற்கண்ட படத்தில் உள்ளவாறு ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட அதிர்வெண்களுக்கு உட்பட்ட இடைவெளியை அலைக்கற்றை (ஸ்பெக்ட்ரம்) என்றழைக்கிறோம். அப்படியாக 1710 Mhz முதல் 1880 Mhz க்கு உட்பட்ட பகுதி 2G (இரண்டாம் தலைமுறை) ஸ்பெக்ட்ரம் என்றழைக்கப்படுகிறது. ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட ஊரில் / இடத்தில் மேற்கூறிய இடைவெளியில் சுமார் 10 நிறுவனங்கள் தான் 2G சேவையை வழங்க முடியும்.. 3G-யை 7 அல்லது 8 நிறுவனங்கள் தான் வழங்க முடியும். இந்தப் பற்றாக்குறையையும், மக்கள் தேவையையும், மற்ற செல்போன் நிறுவனங்களின் சந்தைப்போட்டியையும் பயன்படுத்தி அலைக்கற்றை ஒதுக்குவதில் முறைகேடு நடந்துள்ளது.

நடந்தது என்ன?

செல்போன் சேவைக்குத் தேவைப்படும் அலைக்கற்றையை செல்போன் நிறுவனங்களுக்கு மத்திய அரசாங்கம் வழங்குகிறது. மத்திய அமைச்சர் ! அதிகாரிகள் தனியார் செல்போன் நிறுவனங்களுடன் கூட்டு சேர்ந்து பல்வேறு முறைகேடுகள் செய்து தங்கம் போல மதிப்பு மிக்க இந்த அலைக்கற்றை லைசென்சை தகரத்தின் விலைக்கு விற்றுள்ளனர். 2001ல் அலைக்கற்றை விலைக்கே 2008லேயும் விற்கப்பட்டுள்ளது (2001ல் வாங்கிய தங்கள் நிலத்தினை 2008ல் விற்கும்போது 2001 விலைக்கே விற்பார்களா?).

இதனால் அரசாங்கத்திற்கு ரூ.1.76 இலட்சம் கோடி (ரூ.17,60,00,00,00,000) இழப்பு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது (சி.ஏ.ஜி. அறிக்கை) .

இந்த ஊழல் தொகை நமது தமிழக அரசின் மூன்றாண்டு பட்ஜெட்டுக்குச் சமமானது. அதாவது, எந்த வரியும் வசூலிக்காமல் தமிழக அரசை மூன்றாண்டுகளுக்கு நடத்தலாம்.

உலகமே ஒட்டு மொத்தமாக வெப்பமயமாதல் ( குளோபல் வார்மிங் ) பற்றி பயந்து கொண்டு இருக்கும், இன்றைய காலகட்டத்தில் 'மரங்களை நடுங்கள்' என்ற ஒரே கோஷம் தான் எங்கும் கேட்கிறது, இந்த நேரத்தில் 'மரங்களை வெட்டுங்கள்' என்று கூறுவது முரண்பாடாக தோன்றுகிறது அப்படிதானே. ஆனால் இங்கே நான் சொல்வதை முழுவதும் கவனித்தால் நீங்களும் ' ஆமாம் கண்டிப்பாக வெட்ட வேண்டும் ' என்று சொல்வீர்கள். அப்படி அந்த மரத்தை வெட்டினால் தான் நம் மண்ணின் மாண்பை காப்பாற்ற முடியும் என்பதுதான் விஞ்ஞானிகள் நமக்கு கொடுக்கும் ஒரே எச்சரிக்கை.

மண்ணின் வில்லன்
அமெரிக்க தாவரவியல் பூங்கா , 'வளர்க்க கூடாத நச்சு மரங்கள்' என்று ஒரு தனி பட்டியலே வெளியிட்டு இருக்கிறது. அதில் முன்னணியில் இருப்பது தான் நான் குறிப்பிட போகிற விஷ மரம். தமிழ் நாட்டின் ரோட்டின் ஓரங்களிலும், பல கிராமங்களின் வயல்வெளிகளிலும் சகஜமாக இருக்க கூடிய முள் மரம் எனப்படும் 'காட்டு கருவேல மரம்' தான் அது. ( பேராண்மை படத்தில் கூட ஜெயம்ரவி மாணவிகளுடன் சேர்ந்து காட்டுக்குள் இருக்கும் மரத்தை வெட்டிகொண்டே விளக்கம் சொல்வாரே ! )

நம் மண்ணின் தன்மையை கெடுப்பதற்காக வெளி நாட்டினர் இந்த மரத்தின் விதையை இங்கு தூவியதாக ஒரு கருத்தும் , கிராம மக்களுக்கு அடுப்பு எரிக்க விறகு வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக ஒரு அரசியல்வாதி ( நல்ல எண்ணம்தான், இதன் நச்சு தன்மை பற்றி தெரியாமல் இருந்திருக்கலாம் ) வெளிநாட்டில் இருந்து தருவித்ததாகவும் இரு விதமான கருத்துகள் உலவுகின்றன. உண்மை எதுவென்று ' யாம் அறியேன் பராபரமே'

ஆனால் எப்படி வந்தது என்பது அல்ல...., இப்போதைய பிரச்சனை....!? , இம்மரத்தால் என்னவெல்லாம் பாதிப்பு ஏற்படுகிறது என்று பார்பதுதான் அவசியம். முதலில் இந்த மரத்தின் தன்மைகளை பார்க்கலாம்.

இதன் கொடூரமான குணங்கள்

இவை எந்த வித வறட்சியிலும் நன்கு வளரக்கூடியது . மழை பெய்யாமல் போனாலும், நிலத்தில் நீரே இல்லாமல் இருந்தாலும் இவை கவலை படாது. பூமியின் அடி ஆழம் வரை கூட தன் வேர்களை அனுப்பி நீரை உறிஞ்சி , தன் இலைகளை வாடவிடாமல் பார்த்து கொள்கிறது, ( அடுத்தவர்களின் உழைப்பை உறிஞ்சி வாழும் சில சுயநல மனிதர்களை போல...! ) இதனால் நிலத்தடி நீர் முற்றிலுமாக வற்றி அந்த பூமியே வறண்டு விடுகிறது...!

இதன் கொடூரம் அத்துடன் நிறைவு பெறுவது இல்லை, ஒருவேளை நிலத்தில் நீரே கிடைக்கவில்லை என்றாலுமே தன்னை சுற்றி தழுவி செல்லும் காற்றில் இருக்கும் ஈரபதத்தையும் இம்மரம் உறிஞ்சிவிடுகிறது..... ??!! இப்படி காற்றின் ஈரபதத்தையும் , நிலத்தடி நீரையும் இழந்து அந்த பகுதியே வறட்சியின் பிடியில் தாண்டவமாடும்.

தென் தமிழகத்தில் விருதுநகர், ராமநாதபுரம் போன்ற மாவட்டங்களின் வறட்சிக்கு இந்த மரங்களே முக்கிய காரணம் என்பது அதிர்ச்சியான ஒன்றுதான். ஆனால் இதை அறியாமல் அந்த மக்கள், இன்னும் புதிதாக மரங்களை வளர்த்து பராமரிக்கிறார்கள் என்று என்னும் போது அறியாமையை குறித்து வருந்த வேண்டி இருக்கிறது.

உடம்பு முழுதும் விஷம்

இந்த மரத்தின் இலை, காய், விதை என எதுவுமே எந்த உயிரினத்துக்கும் பயன்படாது. முக்கியமான விஷயம் ஒன்றும் உள்ளது , ஆச்சரியமாக இருந்தாலும் உண்மை அதுதான். இந்த மரத்தில் கால்நடைகளை கட்டி வைத்து வளர்த்தால் அவை மலடாகிவிடும் , அதாவது சினைபிடிக்காமலேயே போய்விடும், ஒருவேளை மீறி கன்று ஈன்றாலுமே அது ஊனத்துடன்தான் பிறக்கும்....?!!

ஒருபுறம் இதன் வேர் நிலத்தடி நீரை விஷமாக மாற்றிவிடுகிறது மற்றொரு புறம் இதன் நிழலில் மற்ற உயிரினங்கள் வாழ முடியாத நிலை இருக்கிறது. இதன் பக்கத்தில் வேறு என்ற செடியும் வளராது, தவிர மரத்தில் எந்த பறவை இனங்களும் கூடுகட்டுவதும் இல்லை.

காரணம் என்னவென்றால் இந்த வேலிகாத்தான் மரங்கள், ஆக்சிசனை மிக குறைந்த அளவே உற்பத்தி செய்கிறது , ஆனால் கரிமிலவாயுவை மிக அதிக அளவில் உற்பத்தி செய்து வெளியிடுவதால் சுற்றுப்புற காற்று மண்டலமே நச்சுதன்மையாக மாறிவிடுகிறது .

அறியாமை
நமக்கு தெரியாமலேயே இப்படிப்பட்ட மரங்களை கண்டுகொள்ளாமல் இருக்கிறோம் என்பது வருத்தத்துக்கு உரியதுதான்.

கேரளாவின் விழிப்புணர்வு

நமது அண்டை மாநிலமான கேரளாவில் இந்த மரத்தை பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வை வனத்துறையினர் மக்களிடம் ஏற்படுத்தி உள்ளனர்.....!! அதனால் கேரளாவில் இந்த மரத்தை ஒரு இடத்தில் கூட காண முடியாது. ஆனால் நம் தமிழ்நாட்டில் விறகிற்க்காக இந்த மரத்தை வளர்த்து வருகின்றனர்....??! என்ன முரண்பாடு...?? என்ன அறியாமை..??

ஆராய்ச்சியாளர்களும், இந்த மரங்கள் இருக்கும் இடங்களில் வாழும் மனிதர்களின் மனதையும் இந்த மரம் மாற்றி வன்முறை எண்ணத்தை கொடுக்கும் என்று கண்டு பிடித்து உள்ளனர்.

நல்ல மரம் ஆரோக்கியம்

வேப்பமரம் வளர்ப்பது எவ்வளவு நல்லது என்பதை யாவரும் அறிவோம், மற்றும் ஆலமரமும் , அரசமரமும் மனதிற்கு மகிழ்ச்சியை கொடுக்கிறது என்பதை உணர்ந்தவர்கள் நாம். இருந்தும் இந்த முள் மரத்தை பற்றி சரியாக விழிப்புணர்ச்சி நம்மிடம் இல்லையே என்பதே என் ஆதங்கம் .

சுற்றுபுறத்தில் புல், பூண்டை கூட வளரவிடாமல் தடுக்கும் இந்த முள் மரத்தை பூண்டோடு அழிக்கவேண்டும் என்ற விழிப்புணர்வை அரசாங்கம் தீவிர முயற்சி எடுத்து மக்களிடம் கொண்டு சேர்க்க வேண்டும் . சமூக ஆர்வலர்கள் இந்த மரத்தை பற்றிய பிரசாரங்களை செயல் படுத்தலாம், செய்வார்களா?

அடப் பாவிகளா… இந்த மனசு, இந்தியாவிலிருப்போருக்கும், இந்திய ஆட்சியாளர்களுக்கும் இல்லாமல் போய்விட்டதே என மனசு அழுதது.

உங்களுக்கு ஒன்று தெரியுமா… டெட்ராய்டுக்கு முதல் முதலில் நான் வந்தபோது, எல்லோரிடமும் என்னை இந்தியன் என்று அறிமுகப்படுத்திக் கொள்வேன். இப்போது நான் அப்படி சொல்லிக் கொள்வதில்லை. நான் ஒரு தமிழன் என்றுதான் சொல்லிக் கொள்கிறேன். அது ஈழமா, தாயகமா என்ற பேதம் எங்களுக்கானது. அதை நாங்களே பார்த்துக் கொள்வோம் என்ற உணர்வு வந்துவிட்டது. இன்னொன்று, தமிழன் என்று சொன்னால் என்னை கவுரவமாகத்தான் பார்க்கிறார்கள், இப்போது. தமிழன் என்ற அடையாளத்தை உலகமும் அங்கீகரிக்கிறது.

-இது அமெரிக்காவின் டெட்ராய்டில் முதலில் பணியாற்றி இப்போது பே ஏரியாவில் வசிக்கும் நண்பர் சக்திகுமார் நம்மிடம் சொன்னது.

நமது கட்டுரையைப் படித்தபிறகு அதற்கு பின்னூட்டமிட்டிருந்த நண்பர் கண்ணையா, இலங்கை பொருட்கள் புறக்கணிப்பு குறித்து மிகத் தீவிரமாக முன்மொழிந்திருந்தார். இந்தக் கட்டுரையை இத்தனை விரிவாக நாம் எழுதுவதற்கு அவரும்கூட ஒரு காரணம் என்பதை குறிப்பிடுவதில் தயக்கமில்லை. என்வழி என்பது எனக்கு மட்டுமே சொந்தமானதில்லை.. வழியில் பயணம் செய்யும் எல்லோருடையதும்தான்!

புறக்கணிப்பு ஏன்?

முள்ளிவாய்க்கால் பேரவலத்துக்கு முன்பு பிரிட்டனில் துவங்கப்பட்டது இலங்கைப் பொருட்கள் பகிஷ்கரிப்பு போராட்டம். கார்டியன், டைம்ஸ் ஆன்லைன் உள்ளிட்ட பல பத்திரிகைகள் அதற்கு உரிய முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுத்தன. பல கட்டுரைகளை தொடர்ச்சியாக வெளியிடவும் செய்தன. வழக்கம்போல தமிழ்ப் பத்திரிகைகள், சேனல்கள் கண்டுகொள்ளாமல் விட்டுவிட்டன. இணையதளங்கள் (அதுவும் ஈழ ஆதரவு), மக்கள் தொலைக்காட்சி தவிர வேறும் யாரும் இதுபற்றி ஒரு வார்த்தை எழுதவில்லை, பேசவில்லை.

வன்னிப் போரின் இறுதிக் கட்ட பேரவலங்களை கண்கொண்டு பார்த்து, அந்த துயரச் செய்திகள் கேட்டு உறைந்து போயிருந்த தமிழர்கள், கிட்டத்தட்ட 7 மாதங்களுக்குப் பிறகு இந்தப் போராட்டங்களைத் தீவிரப்படுத்தியுள்ளனர்.

இன்று இந்த புறக்கணிப்பு குறித்த செய்திகள் பரவத் தொடங்கிய பிறகு, நியாயமாக இந்தியாவிலிருந்தல்லவா இந்தப் புறக்கணிப்பு தொடங்கியிருக்க வேண்டும் என்று கேட்கப்படுகிறது.

அதற்கு முன் இந்திய – இலங்கை வணிகத்தின் அளவு என்ன என்பதையும் மிகச் சுருக்கமாக சொல்லிவிடுகிறேன்.

இலங்கையின் முக்கிய பொருளாதார ஆதாரம் இந்தியாதான். குறிப்பாக 2000 -ம் ஆண்டுக்குப் பிறகு இந்தியாவுக்கான இலங்கையின் ஏற்றுமதியில் 838 சதவிகித (ஸ்பெல்லிங் மிஸ்டேக் எதுவும் இல்லை… 838 சதவிகிதம்தான்!) அளவுக்கு உயர்வு ஏற்பட்டுள்ளதாகத் தெரிவிக்கிறது இலங்கை அரசின் வர்த்தகத் துறை அமைச்சகம்.

2000-ம் ஆண்டில் வெறும் 55 மில்லியன் டாலர் அளவுக்கு இலங்கையிலிருந்து இறக்குமதி செய்து வந்த இந்தியா, அடுத்த ஏழு ஆண்டுகளில் 600 மில்லியன் டாலருக்கும் அதிகமாக இறக்குமதியின் அளவை அதிகரித்தது.

இந்த நிதியாண்டில் அது இன்னும் பெருமளவு உயர்ந்திருக்கக் கூடும். ஆனால் தொடர்புடைய புள்ளி விவரங்களை இன்னும் வெளியிடவில்லை இலங்கை – இந்திய வர்த்தக அமைச்சகங்கள்.

அதேநேரம் அமெரிக்கா தனது இறக்குமதியைக் குறைத்துக் கொண்டுள்ளது. 2000-ம் ஆண்டில் அமெரிக்காவுக்கு இலங்கையின் ஏற்றுமதி 2075 மில்லியன் டாலராக இருந்தது. அடுத்த சில ஆண்டுகளில் 10 சதவிகிதம் வரை குறைந்துள்ளது. இன்று மேலும் குறைந்த வண்ணம் உள்ளதாக புள்ளி விவரங்கள் கூறுகின்றன.

இதோ.. கடந்த செப்டம்பர் மாதம் மட்டுமே இலங்கை இந்தியாவுக்கு 3 மில்லியன் ஆயத்தை ஆடைகளை அனுப்பியுள்ளது. இந்த ஏற்றுமதிக்கு நயா பைசா வரிவிதிக்கவில்லை இந்தியா என்பது நம்மில் புத்திஜீவிகள் என்று பீற்றிக் கொள்ளும் பலருக்கு தெரிந்திருக்க நியாயமில்லை. இந்தப் பொருள்தான் என்றில்லை, தடையில்லா ஏற்றுமதி என்று சிறப்புத் திட்டத்தின் கீழ் இலங்கையிலிருந்து இந்தியாவுக்கு ஏற்றுமதியாகும் எந்தப் பொருளுக்கும் வரி கிடையாது. இந்தியாவின் கொல்கத்தா, கொச்சி துறைமுகங்களும் இலங்கைக்கு இலவசமாகவே திறந்துவிடப்பட்டுள்ளன (Custom Notification, No. 75/2007).

இதுவே தீர்வென்று சொல்ல வரவில்லை. ஆனால் இது வலி தரும் ஒரு அடி. இதுபோன்ற பலமுனை பொருளாதார நெருக்கடிகள், அரசியல் நெருக்கடிகள்தான் இலங்கையைப் பணிய வைக்கும். இதனை எதிர்கொள்ள மீண்டும் சர்வதேச சமூகத்திடம்தான் போக வேண்டும் இலங்கை.

இன்னொரு விஷயத்தையும் பார்க்க வேண்டும்… இறுதிப் போரில் வென்ற அவர்கள், எதற்காக இத்தனை பதட்டம், குழப்பத்தில் தவிக்க வேண்டும்? போர்தான் ஓய்ந்து , மொத்த தமிழரும் சிறைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்டார்களே… அதன் பிறகும் ஏன் இந்த அவலம் தொடர்கிறது?

எனவே.. ‘சைடு எபெக்ட்’ இல்லாத மருந்துகளைத் தேடிக் கொண்டிருப்பதைவிட, அது குறைவாக உள்ள மருந்துகளுக்கு மாறுவத- காலச் சூழலுக்கு ஏற்ப- ஆரோக்கியமானதுதானே!

எனவே நண்பர் கண்ணையா பின்னூட்டத்தில் அனுப்பியதையே புறக்கணிப்பின் தொடக்கமாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்…

If the Milky Way is thicker than we think,
as seen edge-on,
what does it mean for other questions in astrophysics?

Our home galaxy, the Milky Way, is twice as thick as we thought it was, Australian astrophysicists discover.

Professor Bryan Gaensler from the University of Sydney and his team found that the enormous spiral-shaped collection gas and stars is 12,000 light-years thick when seen edge-on, not 6000 as scientists previously thought.
"This was quite a stunning result," Gaensler says. "It was a bit of a shock to us. It's like walking out into your backyard and finding your tree is twice the size you remembered."
The researchers made their discovery without high-tech equipment or powerful telescopes.
Instead, they downloaded publicly available data from the internet and carefully analysed it.
"It took us just a few hours to calculate this for ourselves," Gaensler says. "We thought we had to be wrong, so we checked and rechecked and couldn't find any mistakes."
The surprising new result came about because the researchers were discerning about the data they used to make their calculations.
Choosing the right pulsars
To measure the size of the Milky Way, researchers study light coming from a pulsar, a type of star that sends beams of light through space like a searchlight.
"As light from these pulsars travels to us, it interacts with electrons scattered between the stars, which slows the light down," Gaensler says.
Scientists refer to those electrons as the Warm Ionised Medium, or WIM.
The WIM has a bigger effect on longer wavelengths of light, which are redder, than on the shorter, bluer, light.
"So by seeing how far the red lags behind the blue we can calculate how much of the WIM the pulse has travelled through," he says.
By comparing this effect on the light from stars different distances away from us, researchers can find where the WIM stops; in other words, the galaxy's edge.
The trick for getting a more accurate figure lay in choosing the right pulsars to include in that analysis, Gaensler says.
"What we did in terms of picking better data was picking pulsars that are either high above the galaxy or underneath it, and not the ones sitting inside the galaxy, which is what nobody had bothered to do before."
Doing the sums
The researchers presented their results recently at the world's biggest annual conference of stargazers, the 211th meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Austin, Texas.
"Overall, most people were accepting because they agreed that our analysis was a better approach than had been done in the past. What's more, it fixes a lot of things that hadn't made sense in our galaxy," he says.
"By making the galaxy twice as thick, dozens of other seemingly unrelated calculations ... all of a sudden work now."
For example, it helps make sense of how magnetic the galaxy is, he says.
The new figure could also lead to a rethink about the wider universe.
"Many of detailed calculations people do on galaxies across the universe - how gas is converted to stars, and stars are converted into gas, and how gravity and pressure balance to stop the galaxy flying apart - use that number," Gaensler says.

HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR?

When we visit bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., how many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on the wall is a real mirror, or actually a 2-way mirror (i.e. they can see you, but you can't see them)?

There have been many cases of people installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to positively identify the surface by just looking at it. It's time to get paranoid. So, how do we determine with any amount of certainty? Just conduct this simple test:

Place the tip of your fingernail against the reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.
However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then BEWARE, for it is a 2-WAY mirror!

So if not at home and changing before a mirror, do the "fingernail test". It doesn't cost you anything. It is simple to do, and it might save you from getting "visually raped"!

This is a really good thing to do. The reason there is a gap on a real mirror, is because the silver is on the back of the mirror UNDER the glass.
Whereas with a two-way mirror, the silver is on the surface. Keep it in mind! Make sure and check every time you enter in hotel rooms.

Researchers have thawed ice estimated to be perhaps a million years old or more from above Lake Vostok, an ancient lake that lies hidden more than two miles beneath the frozen surface of Antarctica using novel genomic techniques to determine how tiny, living "time capsules" survived the ages in total darkness, in
freezing cold, and without food and energy from the sun.

Lake Vostok is located beneath four kilometers of ice in East Antarctica. The lake is approximately 250 km long and 50 km wide. The overlying ice provides a continuous paleo-climatic record of 400,000 years, although the lake water itself may have been isolated for as long as 15 million years.

Because of the long isolation, it's believed that Lake Vostok could contain new lifeforms, and unique geochemical processes. For five years, scientists in Russia and the United States have sought to probe the ancient lake to discover the secrets lying inside this pristine body of water.

Galaxies don mask of stars in new Spitzer image

A pair of dancing galaxies appears dressed for a cosmic masquerade in a new image from NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope. The infrared picture shows what looks like two icy blue eyes staring through an elaborate, swirling red mask. These "eyes" are actually the cores of two merging galaxies, called NGC 2207 and IC 2163, which recently met and began to twirl around each other. The "mask" is made up of the galaxies' twisted spiral arms. Dotted along the arms, like strings of decorative pearls, are dusty clusters of newborn stars. This is the first time that clusters of this type, called "beads on a string" by astronomers, have been seen in NGC 2207 and IC 2163.

NGC 2207 and IC 2163 are located 140 million light-years away in the Canis Major constellation. The two galaxies will meld into one in about 500 million years, bringing their masquerade days to an end.

Adarsh wakes up at home with a huge hangover. He forces himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he sees is a couple of aspirins and a glass of water on the side table. He sits down and sees his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed.

Lessons on Life
There was a man who had four sons. He wanted his sons to learn not to judge things too quickly. So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at a pear tree that was a great distance away.
The first son went in the winter, the second in the spring, the third in summer, and the youngest son in the fall.
When they had all gone and come back, he called them together to describe what they had seen. The first son said that the tree was ugly, bent, and twisted. The second son said no it was covered with green buds and full of promise.
The third son disagreed; he said it was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful, it was the most graceful thing he had ever seen.
The last son disagreed with all of them; he said it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment.
The man then explained to his sons that they were all right, because they had each seen but only one season in the tree's life.
He told them that you cannot judge a tree, or a person, by only one season, and that the essence of who they are and the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, when all the seasons are up.
If you give up when it's winter, you will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your summer, fulfillment of your fall.

Moral lessons:
Don't let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest.
Don't judge life by one difficult season.

ஒருமுறை ஒரு சமயச் சொற்பொழிவாளர் ஒருவர் தனது அழகான குதிரையை கட்டிவைத்து விட்டு தேவாலயத்திற்குள் சென்றாராம். அப்போது அந்தப் பக்கமாக வந்த முல்லா அந்தக் குதிரையின் அருகில் சென்று "அடடா என்ன அழகான குதிரை!" என்று அதன் அழகை வியந்து அதன் கழுத்தைத் தடவிக்கொடுத்தாராம். அப்போது அங்கு வந்த இன்னொருவன் "முல்லா இது உங்கள் குதிரையா?" என்றானாம்.
இவ்வளவு அழகான குதிரையை தன்னது இல்லையென்று எப்படிச் சொல்வது என்று யோசித்த முல்லா, "ஆமாம், என் குதிரைதான்" என்று முதல் பொய்யைச் சொன்னாராம். "அப்படியானால் இதை எனக்கு விற்றுவிடுகிறீர்களா?" என்றானாம்.
வந்தவன். முல்லாவுக்கு தர்ம சங்கடமாகிவிட்டது. யோசித்தார். அவன் வாங்க முடியாத அளவுக்கு ஒரு விலையைச் சொன்னால் போச்சு என்று அவருக்குத் தோன்றியது. உடனே "பத்தாயிரம் ரூபாய்" என்று சொல்லிவிட்டார்.
தன் குதிரைதான் என்ற பொய்யை காப்பாற்றி ஆகவேண்டுமே? ஆனால் வந்தவனோ, "பத்தாயிரம்தானே, சரி, இந்த அற்புதமான குதிரைக்கு அந்த விலை சரிதான்" என்று சொல்லி, உடனே பத்தாயிரம் ரூபாயை எடுத்துக்கொடுத்தானாம். முல்லா யோசிக்க ஆரம்பித்தார். பத்தாயிரம் ரூபாய். சும்மா வருகிறது. உள்ளேபோன குதிரையின் சொந்தக்காரனோ தூங்குகிறான் போலுள்ளது. விற்றுவிடலாம் என்று முடிவு செய்து குதிரையை அவிழ்த்து கொடுத்தனுப்பினார். அவன் குதிரையோடு போய்விட்டான்.
பணத்தை எண்ணி பாக்கெட்டுக்குள் போட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்த நேரத்தில் உள்ளே போன குதிரையின் சொந்தக்காரன் வெளியே வந்தானாம். யோசிக்கக்கூட நேரமில்லாத சூழ்நிலையில் உடனே முல்லா தனது வாய்க்குள் கொஞ்சம் புல்லைப் போட்டுக்கொண்டு, தன் கழுத்தைச் சுற்றி கயிற்றைகட்டிக் கொண்டாராம்.
சொந்தக்காரனோ, பயந்தும் குழம்பியும், முல்லாவிடம் வந்து, "என் குதிரை எங்கே? நீங்கள் யார்?" என்றானாம். அதற்கு முல்லா," நான்தான் உன்குதிரை. நான் விபச்சாரம் செய்ததால் இறைவன் என்மீது கோபித்து என்னைக் குதிரையாக்கிவிட்டான். இப்போது எனக்கு சாபவிமோசனம் கிடைத்து விட்டது. மறுபடியும் மனிதனாகிவிட்டேன்" என்றாராம். அதைக்கேட்ட அந்த சொற்பொழிவாளனுக்கு ரொம்ப பயமாகிவிட்டது. தெய்வக்கோபம் ஒரு மனிதனை மிருகமாக்கிவிடுமா? உடனே மண்டி போட்டு இறைவனிடம் தன் பாபங்களுக்காக தன்னை மன்னிக்கும்படி உருக்கமாக வேண்டினானாம். பிறகு முல்லாவைப் பார்த்து, " சகோதரனே, நடந்தது நடந்துவிட்டது. இனி நீங்கள் உங்கள் ஊருக்குப் போய்விடுங்கள். நான் சந்தையில் போய் வேறு குதிரை வாங்கிக்கொள்கிறேன்." என்று சொல்லி சந்தைக்குச் சென்றானாம்.
அங்கே போனால் சந்தையில் அவனுடைய குதிரையே நின்று கொண்டிருந்தது விற்கப்படுவதற்காக! அதைப்பார்த்ததும் அவனுக்கு பயம் பிடித்துக்கொண்டது. குதிரையின் அருகில் சென்று மெதுவாக அதன் காதில், "என்ன முல்லா, மறுபடியுமா? இவ்வளவு சீக்கிரமாகவா?" என்றானாம்!

Long time ago, there was a huge apple tree. A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the tree top, ate the apples, took anap under the shadow... He loved the tree and the tree loved to play withhim. Time went by... the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree everyday.

One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. "Come and play with me," the tree asked the boy. "I am no longer a kid, I don't play around trees anymore."

The boy replied, "I want toys. I need money to buy them."

"Sorry, but I don't have money... but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money."

The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked the apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy returned and the tree was so excited. "Come and play with me" the tree said.

"I don't have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?"

"Sorry, but I don't have a house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house."

So the boy cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. "Come and play with me!" the tree said.

"I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?"

"Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy."

So the boy cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the boy returned after he left for so many years. "Sorry, my boy. But I don't have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you... " the tree said.

"I don't have teeth to bite" the boy replied.

"No more truck for you to climb on"

"I am too old for that now" the boy said.

"I really can't give you anything ... the only thing left is my dying roots" the tree said with tears.

"I don't need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years." The boy replied.

"Good..! Old tree roots is the best place to lean on and rest. Come, Come sit down with me and rest." The boy sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears . . .

The moral of the story................This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parent. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad...

When we grow up, we leave them... only come to them when we need something or when we are in trouble.

No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree but that's how all of us are treating our parents . . .

A Life Threatening Reward For a Hardworking Female Professional

A very hardworking software professional was working latenight till 12 midnight!!!
Probably to save her company from failing its commitment to its client OR probably to make a best impact of her capabilities so that she can be promoted faster OR probably for taking the next day OFF. She was determined to finish the task the same day and was working till 12 in the midnight. She then went to the washroom to get fresh and what she had in store there is the destruction of her life. A security boy raped her mercilessly.She kept crying for help but in vain...nobody was in her closeby surrounding. Later the man tried to kill her to protect himself and may be she had a little luck that her colleagues went to the washroom just she why she is taking so long...She was not killed but she is almost dead now with horrible experience which she cannot forget throughout her life.
This reward of lifelong pain...for which of her great deeds? Because she gave her work more importance than her safety??? This incident happened in one of the largest Indian IT company. A security boy raping the girl...then whom would you realy on for security? The matter was closed without making much noise...
What happened to this girl can happen to any of you..the hardworking female professionals. You are all here to perform well and win your PMs appreciations but not at the cost of your life. Work hard but safety first.
Releasing a task today midnight or releasing it next day morning...does create delay but not an unacceptable delay. Organise your time and work with a plan to finish every task in time without having to stay after your regular office hours. May be you can use the first half of the day little more seriously and fruitfully without allowing your valuable time to flow in not so important activities AND thus avoid having to stay late evening.

REMEMBER ACCIDENTS ARE ACCIDENTS..THEY DONT COME INFORMED. TAKE EVERY MEASURE TO PROTECT YOURSELVES. AND OF COURSE THE CHOICE IS ALWAYS YOURS.

He goes to the German hell and asks "What do they do here?" He was told, "

1. Use a glass when brushing your teeth. Every year, billions of liters of fresh water is wasted by simply not using a glass when brushing your teeth.

2. Don’t use straws. They say the straw is the most stupid invention. They are unnecessary and only add to our waste problem.

3. Say NO to plastics when shopping. Bring your own reusable bags when doing your grocery, or when buying single items like books or cd’s, a plastic bag, or even a paper bag is unnecessary.

4. Turn off the lights. When there is ample daylight or when no one is in the room. You not only save on electricity, you also lower temperature as light gives off heat.

5. Walk. Take the stairs. Or car pool or take public transportation. You not only lower your carbon gas emissions, you are also doing your heart good when you walk regularly.

6. Unplug cell phone chargers after use. As well as all unused electronic appliances. Some appliances use more electricity even when not in use. Microwave oven with timers uses more electricity on stand by mode the entire day than when you cook dinner with it.

7. Use both sides of the paper. And make sure to recycle it after. You not only lessen your wastes but you also help stop the unnecessary cutting of more trees.

8. Turn off shower when soaping. And make sure to avoid long and frequent showers. Showering three times a day not only uses precious fresh water, but also creates more waste water that goes into our rivers and lakes. It dries your skin too.

9. Never burn anything. Burned resources are lost forever. Burning also releases harmful substances into the atmosphere. Reduce and reuse always. Compost and recycle what you can.

10. Tell your friends about this. Spread the word, and together we can make a difference.

Saturn is the sixth planet from the Sun and the second largest.

In Roman mythology, Saturn is the god of agriculture. The associated Greek god, Cronus, was the son of Uranus and Gaia and the father of Zeus (Jupiter). Saturn is the root of the English word "Saturday" (see Appendix 5).

Saturn has been known since prehistoric times. Galileo was the first to observe it with a telescope in 1610; he noted its odd appearance but was confused by it. Early observations of Saturn were complicated by the fact that the Earth passes through the plane of Saturn's rings every few years as Saturn moves in its orbit. A low resolution image of Saturn therefore changes drastically. It was not until 1659 that Christiaan Huygens correctly inferred the geometry of the rings. Saturn's rings remained unique in the known solar system until 1977 when very faint rings were discovered around Uranus (and shortly thereafter around Jupiter and Neptune).

Saturn was first visited by NASA's Pioneer 11 in 1979 and later by Voyager 1 and Voyager 2. Cassini (a joint NASA / ESA project) arrived on July 1, 2004 and will orbit Saturn for at least four years.

Saturn is visibly flattened (oblate) when viewed through a small telescope; its equatorial and polar diameters vary by almost 10% (120,536 km vs. 108,728 km). This is the result of its rapid rotation and fluid state. The other gas planets are also oblate, but not so much so.
Saturn is the least dense of the planets; its specific gravity (0.7) is less than that of water.
Like Jupiter, Saturn is about 75% hydrogen and 25% helium with traces of water, methane, ammonia and "rock", similar to the composition of the primordial Solar Nebula from which the solar system was formed.

Saturn's interior is similar to Jupiter's consisting of a rocky core, a liquid metallic hydrogen layer and a molecular hydrogen layer. Traces of various ices are also present.
Saturn's interior is hot (12000 K at the core) and Saturn radiates more energy into space than it receives from the Sun. Most of the extra energy is generated by the Kelvin-Helmholtz mechanism as in Jupiter. But this may not be sufficient to explain Saturn's luminosity; some additional mechanism may be at work, perhaps the "raining out" of helium deep in Saturn's interior.

The bands so prominent on Jupiter are much fainter on Saturn. They are also much wider near the equator. Details in the cloud tops are invisible from Earth so it was not until the Voyager encounters that any detail of Saturn's atmospheric circulation could be studied. Saturn also exhibits long-lived ovals (red spot at center of image at right) and other features common on Jupiter. In 1990, HST observed an enormous white cloud near Saturn's equator which was not present during the Voyager encounters; in 1994 another, smaller storm was observed (left).

Two prominent rings (A and B) and one faint ring (C) can be seen from the Earth. The gap between the A and B rings is known as the Cassini division. The much fainter gap in the outer part of the A ring is known as the Encke Division (but this is somewhat of a misnomer since it was very likely never seen by Encke). The Voyager pictures show four additional faint rings. Saturn's rings, unlike the rings of the other planets, are very bright (albedo 0.2 - 0.6).

Though they look continuous from the Earth, the rings are actually composed of innumerable small particles each in an independent orbit. They range in size from a centimeter or so to several meters. A few kilometer-sized objects are also likely.

Saturn's rings are extraordinarily thin: though they're 250,000 km or more in diameter they're less than one kilometer thick. Despite their impressive appearance, there's really very little material in the rings -- if the rings were compressed into a single body it would be no more than 100 km across.

The ring particles seem to be composed primarily of water ice, but they may also include rocky particles with icy coatings.

Voyager confirmed the existence of puzzling radial inhomogeneities in the rings called "spokes" which were first reported by amateur astronomers (left). Their nature remains a mystery, but may have something to do with Saturn's magnetic field.

Saturn's outermost ring, the F-ring, is a complex structure made up of several smaller rings along which "knots" are visible. Scientists speculate that the knots may be clumps of ring material, or mini moons. The strange braided appearance visible in the Voyager 1 images (right) is not seen in the Voyager 2 images perhaps because Voyager 2 imaged regions where the component rings are roughly parallel. They are prominent in the Cassini images which also show some as yet unexplained wispy spiral structures.

There are complex tidal resonances between some of Saturn's moons and the ring system: some of the moons, the so-called "shepherding satellites" (i.e. Atlas, Prometheus and Pandora) are clearly important in keeping the rings in place; Mimas seems to be responsible for the paucity of material in the Cassini division, which seems to be similar to the Kirkwood gaps in the asteroid belt; Pan is located inside the Encke Division and S/2005 S1 is in the center of the Keeler Gap. The whole system is very complex and as yet poorly understood.

The origin of the rings of Saturn (and the other jovian planets) is unknown. Though they may have had rings since their formation, the ring systems are not stable and must be regenerated by ongoing processes, perhaps the breakup of larger satellites. The current set of rings may be only a few hundred million years old.

Like the other jovian planets, Saturn has a significant magnetic field. When it is in the nighttime sky, Saturn is easily visible to the unaided eye. Though it is not nearly as bright as Jupiter, it is easy to identify as a planet because it doesn't "twinkle" like the stars do. The rings and the larger satellites are visible with a small astronomical telescope. There are several Web sites that show the current position of Saturn (and the other planets) in the sky. More detailed and customized charts can be created with a planetarium program.

Saturn's Satellites Saturn has 34 named satellites:
Of those moons for which rotation rates are known, all but Phoebe and Hyperion rotate synchronously.

The three pairs Mimas-Tethys, Enceladus-Dione and Titan-Hyperion interact gravitationally in such a way as to maintain stable relationships between their orbits: the period of Mimas' orbit is exactly half that of Tethys, they are thus said to be in a 1:2 resonance; Enceladus-Dione are also 1:2; Titan-Hyperion are in a 3:4 resonance.

Apache-
It got its name because its founders got started by applying patches to code written for NCSA's httpd daemon. The result was 'A PAtCHy' server -- thus, the name Apache.

Jakarta (project from Apache) -
A project constituted by SUN and Apache to create a webserver handling servlets and JSPs. Jakarta was name of the Conference Room at SUN where most of the meetings between SUN and Apache took place.

Tomcat-
The servlet part of the Jakarta project. Tomcat was the code-name for the JSDK 2.1 project inside SUN.

Apple Computers -
Favourite fruit of founder Steve Jobs. He was three months late in filing a name for the business, and he threatened to call his company Apple Computers if the other colleagues didn't suggest a better name by 5 o'clock.

Larry Ellison and Bob Oats were working on a consulting project for the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency). The code name for the project was called Oracle(the CIA saw this as the system to give answers to all questions or something such). The project was designed to help use the newly written SQL code by IBM. The project eventually was terminated but Larry and Bob decided to finish what they started and bring it to the world. They kept the name Oracle and created the RDBMS engine. Later they kept the same name for the company.

RedHat-
Company founder Marc Ewing was given the Cornell lacrosse team cap (with red and white stripes) while at college by his grandfather. He lost it and had to search for it desperately. The manual of the beta version of Red Hat Linux had an appeal to readers to return his Red Hat if found by anyone !

When Bell Labs pulled out of MULTICS (MULTiplexed Information and Computing System), which was originally a joint Bell/GE/MIT project, Ken Thompson and Dennis Ritchie of Bell Labs wrote a simpler version of the OS. They needed the OS to run the game Space War which was compiled under MULTICS. It was called UNICS - UNIplexed operating and Computing System by Brian Kernighan. It was later shortened to UNIX.

Xerox-
The inventor, Chestor Carlson, named his product trying to say dry' (as it was dry copying, markedly different from the then prevailing wet copying). The Greek root `Xer' means dry.

Yahoo!-
The word was invented by Jonathan Swift and used in his book 'Gulliver's Travels'. It represents a person who is repulsive in appearance and action and is barely human. Yahoo! founders Jerry Yang and David Filo selected the name because they considered themselves yahoos.

The Carpenter's House

An elderly carpenter was ready to retire.
He told his employer-contractor of his plans to leave the house building business and live a more leisurely life with his wife enjoying his extended family.
He would miss the paycheck, but he needed to retire. They could get by. The contractor was sorry to see his good worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favor.
The carpenter said yes, but in time it was easy to see that his heart was not in his work. He resorted to shoddy workmanship and used inferior materials. It was an unfortunate way to end his career.When the carpenter finished his work and the builder came to inspect the house, the contractor handed the front-door key to the carpenter.
"This is your house," he said, "my gift to you."What a shock! What a shame! If he had only known he was building his own house, he would have done it all so differently. Now he had to live in the home he had built none too well.
So it is with us.
We build our lives in a distracted way, reacting rather than acting, willing to put up less than the best. At important points we do not give the job our best effort. Then with a shock we look at the situation we have created and find that we are now living in the house we have built. If we had realized that we would have done it differently.

Just a little story for you . . .

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy
was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for work so he asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter.

The boy playfully went to the medicine bottle and, fascinated with its color, drank it all. It happened
to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child showed signs of poisoning the mother took him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.

இப்போதா அவனுக்கு நம்பிக்கையே வந்து கிங்கிரனுக்கு நன்றி சொல்லீட்டு, தெகிரியமா வெளிய போனான். கொஞ்ச நேரத்தில எதுத்தாப்பல வந்த லாரி, அவமேல மோதிட்டுது... செத்துப்போயிட்டான்.

அப்போ அவனோட உசுர கொண்டுபோகறதுக்கு அதே கிங்கரன் வந்தான், "வாப்பா எமலோகத்துக்கு போகலாம்"ன்னு சொன்னான்.
உடனே செத்தவனோட உசுரு கேட்டுச்சு "நீ சொன்னத நம்பித்தான நா வெளியில வந்தேன். இப்போ பாரு நான் செத்து போயிட்டேன்"னுச்சு.

அதுக்கு கிங்கரன் சொன்னான் "இதப்பாரு உன்ன மாதிரிதான் நாங்களும் இந்த மாச டார்கெட்ட முடிக்கிறதுக்கு ஒரு உசுருதா தேவப்பட்டுது, சாவுக்கு பயந்தவனத்தா புடிக்கணும்னு எமனோட கட்டள அதனால தான் இப்படி சொல்ல வேண்டியதாப்போச்சு, என்னோட டார்கெட்ட அச்சீவ் பண்ணீட்டேன், வா போகலாம்னு" கூட்டிடு போயிட்டான்.

How to Keep Fish Fresh !

The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went farther than ever. The farther the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish. If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh. The Japanese did not like the taste.

To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go farther and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen and they did not like frozen fish.

The frozen fish brought a lower price. So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin. After a little thrashing around, the fish stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive. Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference. Because the fish did not move for days, they lost their fresh-fish taste. The Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.

So how did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem? How do they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan? If you were consulting the fish industry, what would you recommend?

How Japanese Fish Stay Fresh:

To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks. But now they add a small shark to each tank. The shark eats a few fish, but most of the fish arrive in a very lively state. The fish are challenged.

World's Tallest Man - Robert Wadlow

Robert Pershing Wadlow (1918 - 1940) was and is the tallest human being ever recorded. He reached 8' 11.1" (272 cm) in height and 490 pounds (222.26 kg) in weight before his death at the age of 22. His height was due to an overactive pituitary gland.

Robert Wadlow was born in Alton, Illinois on February 22 1918. At the time he weighed only 8' 6 ounces (3.8 kg). He attracted attention due to his rapid growth when all his four siblings grew at a more normal speed. At the age of 13 he became the world's tallest Boy Scout with a height of 7'4 (224 cm).

At age 18 his height was 8'4 (254 cm) and he weighed 390 pounds (177 kg). His size 37 shoes cost $100.00 a pair.

At the age of 20 Wadlow signed a contract with the International Shoe Company; he received free shoes in exchange for a promotional tour. He traveled all around the USA with his father. In 1936 he enrolled in Shurtleff College with the intention of studying law.

By 1937 he had exceeded the previous records. However, his size begun to take its toll. He had to keep braces in his feet to walk and had little sensation in them.

On July 4 1940 Wadlow was taken ill in Manistee, Michigan; a faulty brace had caused a blister and bad infection. Doctors treated him with blood transfusions and emergency surgery but his fever got worse. On July 15 1940 he died in his sleep. He was buried in Alton on July 19.

In 1984 his hometown raised a bronze statue in his memory. His family destroyed his belongings lest they become collectables.

Hating the people who just seem to sail through life getting everything the want: the right job, the right home and the right kids. The people, who always get the best jobs, always have plenty of money and get on great in any social situation.

Have you ever woken up feeling frightened?
Maybe about getting old or sick or that you are losing a relationship. Maybe frightened about how you are going to pay the mortgage or your credit card bills. Or maybe about those sales calls you

have to make if you want to keep your job?

No matter how hard you try nobody will help you or allow you to succeed nobody cares about you!
Well let me tell you something, you are not alone.
We all at sometime, or other have those feelings. I personally spent years just living and wishing and getting nowhere.
But, then I found something.
A System that literally changed my life in 5 days!
It was 5 days of hard work and I had to make some hard choices but after that it became easier and it gets easier with each day that passes
It's a System so simple that anyone can operate it. Using it will give you everything you ever truly wanted be it wealth, health, love or happiness.
It has given me the home I truly wanted the job I truly wanted the car I wanted and the money I wanted. And best of all it has given me a loving wife to share it all.
Here are a few of the things the System has thought me which might help you also.
You could try to stop worrying, about things you can't change and use the time saved to think about things you can change.
You could try to stop reading newspapers and watching the News on TV for a while. Use the time saved to think about your immediate world and your place in it. Remember, the News Media are in the entertainment business and their idea of entertainment is "gloom and doom... Try seeing them as the guy who shuffles along the sidewalk with the billboard saying, "The end is nigh!"
You could try staying away from "losers" the people whose talk is always negative. Who always see the bottle as half empty?
You could try to look at the positive side of everything. Because everything has a positive. It's a hard thing to do but if you try to seriously think about a thing you may find a lot of your "problems" may actually be opportunities.
Try listening to music that gives you a lift. Watch TV or go to movies that make you laugh and feel good.
Try complimenting people. If you like what a person is wearing or the car they're driving or the service they've given you tell them so. I guarantee you'll feel better and they will too.
Look in the mirror and compliment yourself. Think about it. If you are taking notice of these suggestions it means you seriously want to change.
So complement yourself for that reason if nothing else!
You could try having patience with people. Remember they may not be as good or as quick as you at doing things. You could also try having patience with yourself as well.
You could try and find some project you truly believe in and get really involved in it.
You could try and relax more. You will find you can actually do things better the more relaxed you are.
Remember YOU are always in control of your own thoughts and no one, repeat, no one, can do your thinking for you.
These are just a few of the things I have learnt from the System. As I said, using it has changed my life and has provided me with something that I consider to be priceless.
That is Happiness 99% of the time!

1) In 1978, his tamil movie “Sivappu Rojakal” got released. He played the role of a Psychopath killer (femicide).
One year later, a guy called Psycho Raman was caught for brutally murdering people especially women.

2) In 1988, kamal played the role of a unemployed youth in the movie “Sathya”.
In 89-90’s our country faced lot of problems due to unemployment.

3) In 1992, his blockbuster movie “Devar Magan” got released. Its a village based subject. There will be some scenes portraying communal clashes.
Exactly a year later in 1993, there were many communal clashes in southern districts.

4) We all know in 1996 many people in our country was cheated by finance companies.
Our Kamal Hasan has clearly depicted this in his movie “mahanadhi” which got released in 1994 itself.

5) In “heyram”(2000), there are some scenes relating to Hindu Muslim clashes .
We all know 2 years later, godhra(Gujarat riots) incident happened.

6) He used a word called ‘tsunami’ in his movie “Anbesivam”(2003).The word ‘tsunami’ was not known to many people before.
In 2004, ‘tsunami’ stuck the east coast of our country and many people lost their lives.

7) In his latest movie ”Vettaiyadu Vilayadu ”(2006) there are two characters called ila&amudhan who played the roles of psychopath killers.
After 3 months of release of the movie, the noida serial killing came to light (moninder/sathish)

This is not a story but a true incident that happened in USA.*
An Indian man walked into a bank in New York City one day and asked for the loan officer. He told the loan officer that he was going to India on business for two weeks and needed to borrow $5,000.
The bank officer told him that the bank would need some form of security for the loan.
The Indian man handed over the keys of a new Ferrari parked on the street in front of the bank. He produced the title and everything checked out.
The loan officer agreed to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank's president and its officers all enjoyed a good laugh at the Indian for using a $250,000 Ferrari as collateral against a $5,000 loan.
An employee of the bank then drove the Ferrari into the bank's underground garage and parked it there.
Two weeks later, the Indian returned, repaid the $5,000 and the interest, which came to $15.41.
The loan officer said, "Sir, we are very happy to have had your business, and this transaction has worked out very nicely, but we are a little puzzled. While you were away, we checked you out and found that you are a multi millionaire. What puzzles us is, why would you bother to borrow "$5,000?"

One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live.
They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?"
"It was great, Dad."
"Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked.
"Oh yeah," said the son.
"So, tell me, what you learned from the trip?" asked the father.

The son answered: "I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creekthat has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they havethe whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, butthey serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us; they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying aboutwhat we don't have.

A turtle family went on a picnic. The turtles, being naturally slow about things,took seven years to prepare for their outings. Finally the Turtle family left homelooking for a suitable place. During the second year of their journey they found it.For about six months they cleaned up the area, unpacked the picnic basket,and completed the arrangements. Then they discovered they had forgotten the salt. A picnic without salt would bea disaster, they all agreed. After a lengthy discussion, the youngest turtle was chosen to retrieve the salt from home. Although he was the fastest of the slow moving turtles, the little turtle whined, cried, and wobbled in his shell. He agreed to go on one condition: that no one would eat until he returned. The family consented and the little turtle left. Three years passed and the little turtle had not returned. Five years, Six years... Then in the seventh year of his absence, the oldest turtle could no longer contain his hunger. He announced that he was going to eat and began to unwrap a sandwich. At that point the little turtle suddenly popped out from behind a tree shouting, "SEE I knew you wouldn't wait. Now I am not going to go get the salt."

Lesson Learned: Some of us waste our time waiting for people to live up to our expectations. We are so concerned about what others are doing that we don't do anything ourselves . . .

So, it is not ’Something’ or ’Someone’ who is making me feel positive or negative,
but it’s my ‘Acceptance’ or ‘Non-Acceptance’ of something or someone, which impacts things.

Years ago, footage emerged from a remote village in India. The video shows a young girl receiving surgery to separate her fingers, which were badly burned and fused together. Why did this operation make headlines around the world? The surgery was performed by a 7-year-old boy named Akrit Jaswal.

Now 13 years old, Akrit has an IQ of 146 and is considered the smartest person his age in India-a country of more than a billion people. Before Akrit could even speak, his parents say they knew he was special.

"He learned very fast," says Raksha, Akrit's mother. "After learning the alphabet, we started to teach him joining of words, and he started writing as well. He was two.

"At an age when most children are learning their ABCs, Akrit was reading Shakespeare and assembling a library of medical textbooks. When he was 5 years old, he enrolled in school. One year later, Akrit was teaching English and math classes.

Akrit developed a passion for science and anatomy at an early age. Doctors at local hospitals took notice and started allowing him to observe surgeries when he was 6 years old. Inspired by what he saw, Akrit read everything he could on the topic. When an impoverished family heard about his amazing abilities, they asked if he would operate on their daughter for free. Her surgery was a success.

After the surgery, Akrit was hailed as a medical genius in India. Neighbors and strangers flocked to him for advice and treatment. At age 11, Akrit was admitted to Punjab University. He's the youngest student ever to attend an Indian university. That same year, he was also invited to London's famed Imperial College to exchange ideas with scientists on the cutting edge of medical research.

Akrit says he has millions of medical ideas, but he's currently focused on developing a cure for cancer. "I've developed a concept called oral gene therapy on the basis of my research and my theories," he says. "I'm quite dedicated towards working on this mechanism.

" Growing up, Akrit says he used to see cancer patients lying on the side of the road because they couldn't afford treatment or hospitals had no space for them. Now, he wants to use his intellect to ease their suffering. "[I've been] going to hospitals since the age of 6, so I have seen first hand people suffering from pain," he says. "I get very sad, and so that's the main motive of my passion about medicine, my passion about cancer."

Currently, Akrit is working toward a bachelor's degrees in zoology, botany and chemistry. Someday, he hopes to continue his studies at Harvard University.

"The image on the coin is far from being that of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton," said Lindsay Allason-Jones, director of archaeological museums at Newcastle University, in a statement.
"Roman writers tell us that Cleopatra was intelligent and charismatic, and that she had a seductive voice but, tellingly, they do not mention her beauty. The image of Cleopatra as a beautiful seductress is a more recent image."
However she looked in reality, Cleopatra's charm helped change the course of Roman history.
In 48 B.C. she seduced Rome's first emperor, Julius Caesar—30 years her senior—and bore him a son.
But her relationship years later with Antony, with whom she had three children, ended in tragedy.
After Antony's defeat by Octavian, Rome's soon-to-be second emperor, in 31 B.C., both Antony and Cleopatra committed suicide. According to legend, Cleopatra chose to perish by an asp's bite.

ROME (Reuters) - Call it the eternal embrace.
Archaeologists in Italy have discovered a couple buried 5,000 to 6,000 years ago, hugging each other.
"It's an extraordinary case," said Elena Menotti, who led the team on their dig near the northern city of Mantova.
"There has not been a double burial found in the Neolithic period, much less two people hugging -- and they really are hugging."
Menotti said she believed the two, almost certainly a man and a woman although that needs to be confirmed, died young because their teeth were mostly intact and not worn down.
"I must say that when we discovered it, we all became very excited. I've been doing this job for 25 years. I've done digs at Pompeii, all the famous sites," she told Reuters.
"But I've never been so moved because this is the discovery of something special."
A laboratory will now try to determine the couple's age at the time of death and how long they had been buried.

It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations).
What is this principle? 10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react.
What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us.
We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic.
We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%.
How? ……….By your reaction.
You cannot control a red light. but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.
Let's use an example.
You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just happened.
What happens next will be determined by how you react.
You curse.
You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus.
Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit.

After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home.
When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.
Why? …. Because of how you reacted in the morning.
Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?
The answer is “D".
You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day.
Here is what could have and should have happened.
Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "Its ok honey, you just need to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.
Notice the difference?
Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different.
Why?
Because of how you REACTED.
You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.
Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you!
React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them?
WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive?
Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.
You are told you lost your job.
Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job.
The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take outpour frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on.
Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse.
Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it. The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle.
The result?
Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle.
It CAN change your life!!!

The salary whatever we get, it's our hard-earned money, most of the times sitting in the night, away from family functions, friends, etc...but all our money or most of the money are going to someone who just takes advantage of our stressful life (both mentally and physically) and our new western life style.
I do not find anything wrong in having a US / UK life style, but many open thieves (starting from Ministers to our local Restaurant owner) just swindling all our "legal money" and as we do not have any other choice becoming poor / debtor day by day.
Well most of the price hikes are just unbelievable and there is absolutely no justification (few examples given below).

Chicken Biriyani (Karaikudi 3 weeks back) - Rs. 65 Today (since last 2 weeks) same
Karaikudi Chicken Biriyani (believe me, there is absolutely no change) - Rs. 78, there is no justification for such a big increase.
Pop Corn (Sathyam Complex) previously (month and half back) - Rs. 20 Today (almost the same quantity) - Rs. 30 (again, i do not find any justification)
Corn in Garuda Mall previously (month back) ? Rs20 Small, Rs 30 Medium and Rs 40 High Now, No ?actual? small and real small has become 35 now and 45 for high...
[Are they the farmers who have given their blood to grow this ] (In Sathyam complex, many price hikes are really too much for no reason...) Chips packet (Gangotree) previously (three months back) - Rs. 15 Since last two Months the same packet costs - Rs. 20 (again, I do not find any justification) Room Clean (just once) - Rs. 200, that's bcos they cleaned IT guys room. (The moment you say that you are from Software company, the price automatically increases...)
Auto Charges are also charged too much from the IT guys..
Auto?s standing near the office earns 70 Rs from Ambathur to CMBT. (This is because he is dropping a IT guy)
Same auto charge for other Non-IT it is 30 ? 40 Rs.
We guys already pays big taxes from our salaries and goes on paying other taxes too (starting from Hotel Sangeetha "Vadai" to Scotch in a bar), it's time to think and pledge ourselves that we stop spending just for one month...
Reason(s) why we should stop spending alteast for a month:
1. 70% of the IT guys occupies the restaurants.
2. 80-90% of the IT guys goes to coffee shop, hang around places, bakeries, etc.
3. Most of the IT guys goes to Sathyam complex, Movies.

If we stop going / spending just for a month, their business automatically goes down and they would have no other choice except to bring down the price, that's what happened when IT industry was down three years back.
Somehow directly or indirectly we are responsible for this unjust price hike and now, only we could prevent this open robberies, please add your comments or experiences and keep forwarding this email to all your known people, I am sure even if 25% of us realizes and acts accordingly, it could and would make lot of difference to us. (let's try and prevent unjust price hike)

Save the IT People from Debts
* Property market in Year 2001 -2004 was quiet Ok , People were able to buy Flats in reasonable rates .
*Year 2005 -2006 , Some of the well known builders started the rates boom , flat which was at the cost of Rs.900 Sq Ft now became 2200 to 2800

---> Last Year , Bank gave the loan's at flexible mimimum rate,Now Banks has sufficient number of customers , (Trap) Slowly Banker's increasing interst at % 0.5 every month . IT People Who bought house for 22 Lacks for 20 Yrs , Now became 23 Yrs with raise of 0.5 %

--> No , Depends on Buiders Greediness . Every builder follows the different strategies Builder sold one flat 1500 Per Sqft in Morning and 1800 Per Sqft in the Evening , There are no records maitained.
Q. Who made builders smart & greedy ?
---> Greedy IT people .. No body is asking , Flat was sold at 12 Lacks , Why now 24 Lacks ?
Q. Is Corporation water & MESB available to all schemes ?
---> Some of the area don't have the Corporation water at all , People surviving on Water Tankers. ** MESB .. Under Table ,can be managed easily .
Q. What will be the condition If We are not able to Clear the Loan ?
---> Depends on individual capabilities
Q. What wiil be the actual 'area of living' or carpet area if the builder proposes 1000 sft?
---> The actual carpet area will be 800-850 sft only. The common area is also included in the proposal. If two flats are in the same floor, then the builder cheats both the residents by collecting How do Builders cheat buyers?

Let us see with a simple example Builder XXXX proposes a flat in a decent residential area.
Rate ( Unit Price ) - Rs. 3500 sft.
Registration - Rs. 40 per sft.
EB and drainage - Rs. 50,000
Covered Car park - Rs. 1,25,000
Corpus fund - Rs. 50000.

For a 1000 sft flat ( 850 sft carpet area ), the approximate cost will be Rs.37,65,000.
In the same plot area ( measuring 2 grounds) the builder would have constructed 8 or 10 flats.

Let us see how a builder earns his profit Total sales for the builder
--> 37, 65,000 *10 = 3, 76, 50000 ( 3.76 crores)
Cost of the land - Rs. 40 laks per ground
1) Total cost of the land -80 lakhs for two ground --- A
Total builtup area for 10 flats - 10*1000 sft = 10,000 sft Construction cost per sft
( for normal specification) = Rs. 900 per sft
2) Total construction cost - 10,000 * 900 = Rs. 90,00,000 --- B
3) Other expenses for the builder - Rs. 20 per sft = Rs. 2,00,000 ...... C

Total expenses for the builder = A+ B+C
= Rs. 80,00,000 + Rs.90,00,000 + Rs. 2,00,00
= Rs. 1,72,00,000 ( 1.72 crores approx)
Total Sales = Rs. 3.76 crores - Rs. 1.72 crores
Total profit of the builder = Rs. 2.04 crores.
Let us see the share of each resident
1. Cost of land = Divided share among the other 10 residents
= Rs. 80,00,000 / 10
= Rs. 8,00,000
2. Construction cost = Rs. 900 * 1000
= Rs. 9,00,000
3. Other expenses = Rs. 2,00,000 ( approx)
Total = Rs. 19,00,000 ( Nineteen lakhs)
The total share for each resident is Rs. 19,00,000 ( Nineteen lakhs only ) but he pays Rs. 37.5 laks for the flat.

Q. How We can stop Builders -Property Boom ?
1) IT People should think about buying flats for atleast next 1-2 Yrs .
2) Onces rates are reasonable , With some legal process get the Booking .
3) Check Facilities, Convince, Road Approach, schools & Mainly co-operation water
4) Ask Questions If I buy 1/2 BHK at 12 to 30 Lacks , Do I get reasale value in future?
5) Today you are capable for paying 1000 -3000 maintains per month ?
Will will be the same case after 20-30yrs after retirement.
6) In All, Don't stretch more to get the more & more loans other wise it will create unnecessary pressure and tension.
7) Read the above mentioned calculation carefully, when you are about to buy a flat pls keep this in mind.
